My Entrepreneurship Story
Two years ago this October will be the two year anniversary of a the business my mom started called Hub 925. Since that day I have learned so many lessons about entrepanuership from my mom and her business. Originally it started as a co working space which means that people pay for a membership and they can come in and work in the space. But when the space wasn't open on the weekends she would rent the space out for events and parties. This ended up proving more profitable and her and her partner are adapting their business strategy and have expanded the space so they can host bigger events and have almost entirely cut out the co working. This showed me how as an entrepreneur you need to be aware of the market and be able to shift your business to adapt to your customers needs. I have also helped run and supervise events as well as help set up the new space by moving things. I'm able to see how my mom deals with her customers on a daily basis.
I enrolled in this class to expand my knowledge of entrepreneurship and get more comfortable in risky business situations, because that is my main concerned with starting my own business.
Hello Ethan, I actually looked up your mom’s business and scanned through the website and I was so impressed. From my prior knowledge of entrepreneurship, I learned that sometimes you might have to tweak the purpose and goal of your business to meet the needs of the consumers. This post in my opinion was well put together and I hope that you get exactly what you’re expecting out of this course.
